PREPA payment dispute halts Puerto Rico LNG deliveries

Puerto Rico's Energy Bureau ordered PREPA to halt payment to NFE over roughly $92.2M in contested charges, and NFE said it will not resume deliveries until the directive is reversed and payment guarantees are provided. The standoff with a key customer (already in bankruptcy) creates revenue and receivables risk and weighs on sentiment.

NFE completes restructuring, cuts debt to $700 million

NFE completed its restructuring plan, extinguishing nearly $5.7B of third-party debt and reducing debt to about $700M, with BrazilCo separated as a standalone entity. 1-for-50 reverse stock split effective mid-September

NFE executed a 1-for-50 reverse split to regain Nasdaq minimum bid price compliance, with split-adjusted trading beginning September 14. While mechanically neutral, it signals prior distress and can affect liquidity and perception; ongoing compliance risk remains a watch item.
